Speed and Safety when Earth Loop Impedance Testing on Street Lighting Columns

Developed in conjunction with a major UK street lighting contractor, who had concerns about the safety of Engineers fumbling around at the lantern head and in the base of columns and trying to find connection points to attach the flying leads of earth loop impedance testers.

The equipment consists of:

A connector box which plugs into a standard NEMA photocell socket for lantern head testing.

A connector box which fits a two part photocell base for column base testing.
A 2 Metre power lead, for connection to the earth loop impedance tester.
An earth lead, which picks up the instrument earth and can be connected to a suitable point on the column.
